Welcome to Thornbury Bakery's very first Blog post! My name is Jordyn Smith and I am an owner, recipe creator and now, blog contributor for the Thornbury Bakery.
I spent 6 years at Western University doing my Bachelor and Masters of Science studying exercise and nutrition. After finishing school, I joined my brother and mom, Doug and Trish to help grow our family business. For those of you who don't know about us at the Thornbury Bakery, we are a family owned and operated bakery that all started in the small town of Thornbury, ON. Right on the shores of the Georgian Bay, Thornbury is a quaint town nestled between Collingwood and Meaford, about 2 hours north of Toronto, that oozes artisan workshops, high-end restaurants, ski hills and gold courses. I could spend pages and pages telling you about our family and how we came about this whole business, but I am going to keep things short and sweet for now and start things off with a delicious, simple & healthy GF/Vegan Banana Bread Recipe.
