Here's the thing - we love really good food. When we got into the bakery/cafe business in early 2008, we were passionate about serving our customers sandwiches and meals that they were excited to eat and that didn't contain anything other than real food ingredients.
But, within our first year of our #bakerylife, we had customers asking us for gluten-free options. We spent a few months researching the gluten-free world, celiac disease, other dietary restrictions such as dairy and eggs, and the breads that were on the market. Let me tell you, we weren't impressed. We didn't classify any of the gluten-free breads on the market as, really good food.
We also noticed something else that we found quite concerning - most of these 'breads' on the market were full of what we call 'fillers', like cornstarch, potato starch, etc. Definitely not the 'real food' approach that is the foundation of our business.
So, off to the test kitchen we went. After months of research and sourcing the highest quality and nutritious ingredients and spending way too many hours in our test kitchen, the result was our original chia bread. Gluten-free, 100% plant-based, Non-GMO, preservative-free, and all-natural. And the best part, it tastes like real, good food.
Fast forward to 2019 and we now have a complete Gluten-Free Bread product line and now a new Low-Carb and Grain-Free product line.
